Shrek
Shrek je zelený obr s tykadly (vlastně zlobr, ti jsou nebezpečnější), který žije docela sám, ale šťastně ve svém domku na samotě uprostřed močálu až do chvíle, kdy je doslova přepaden nekonečným zástupem známých i méně známých pohádkových postaviček, které byly vyhoštěny z království nevzhledného a zakyslého Lorda Farquaada. Ve snaze zjednat pořádek a hlavně vrátit klid do svého příbytku Shrek Farquaadovi slíbí, že vysvobodí ze zajetí obávaného draka krásnou princeznu Fionu a přivede mu ji, aby se stala jeho ženou. S pomocí mazaného (a ukecaného) osla (jménem Osel) Shrek svůj slib splní, jenže pak se to nějak podivně zamotá, zaplete a zkomplikuje, takže je všechno nakonec úplně a docela jinak a šťastný konec je šťastný úplně jinak, než byste čekali. Na první pohled je Shrek pohádkou se vším všudy. Setkáte se v něm např. se třemi malými prasátky, Sněhurkou i jejími sedmi trpaslíky, zlým vlkem a neposedným oslíkem (který se občas otřásá), budete se bát zlého draka a radovat se ze záchrany půvabné princezny. Záhy ale zjistíte, že s těmito pohádkami není všechno úplně v pořádku a jejich postavičky se chovají trošku jinak, než by se na správnou pohádku slušelo. Celovečerní počítačem animovaný Shrek je totiž stejnou měrou pohádka a parodie na všemožné pohádky, a především na ty Disneyovy. Pobaví se při něm skutečně každý, včetně těch diváků, kteří pohádkám dávno odrostli a našli zalíbení v poněkud drsnějším humoru. V amerických kinech si Shrek vedl překvapivě dobře a zařadil se k absolutně nejúspěšnějším premiérám letošního roku.
